Quincy Meets Shakespeare Inventive Introduction to the Bard"Quincy Meets Shakespeare" is an educational enrichment performance for school assemblies as well as public venues. Integrating original masks and music, life-size puppets, period costumes, and dramatic techniques, it provides audiences with an introduction to some of Shakespeare's plays and themes. Educators have used this production as a conduit to teaching Shakespearean works for it renders Shakespeare's plots, language, and theatre accessible to the audience without the need for prior knowledge of Shakespeare. Four plays excerpted in the production, "ROMEO AND JULIET", "TAMING OF THE SHREW", "MACBETH", and "AS YOU LIKE IT". |
